I was approached in late 2013 create an application for the Highland Lakes Clubhouse. The client wanted to reduce the administrative staff and improve efficiency so they decided to switch from pen and paper to a digital system.
The client initially just wanted an application that would keep records of room reservations. They were using pen and paper for years and wanted a more efficient way of keeping track of the information. They also wanted to reduce their staff which was not possible with the current method and the volume of reservations they processed every day.
Management was impressed with the application and wanted to expand it's use to include a few more features. We eventually ended up with an application with the following features:
- Room reservations (the original application)
- Golf course reservations
- Tournament score history
- Bar/restaurant reservations
- Reports from their POS system
